We are happy to announce that veilsremoved.com is accepting submissions from our Adventist youth! We are eager for the young people in our church to explore the art form of writing and have their chance of getting published online!
Please read this entire page to ensure you submit properly. Failure to submit proper documents, etc. will result in automatic denial of article submission.
You can expect traditional writing submission guidelines, which is intentional so each youth writer learns the art form and what it takes to submit to bigger sites/magazines etc. Each manuscript sent will be reviewed, edited. However, major edits will not be done by our editorial team, so please make sure your work is looked over throughly before submission.
If the submission made by the writer is denied/rejected, a reason will be given in the email to the child and the child is more than welcome to make the suggested edits and submit again! Do not let a denial email discourage you from trying again! Every great writer has multiple drafts, even the greatest writers of all times had to re-write or edit their work.
Writing for veilsremoved.com is to engage our youth and help them foster their own ideas. As well as, give them a platform to showcase their work with family and friends. That being said, we do expect a high quality of work and will make sure before publication that each submission is up to par, or we will cease the publication of the manuscript. (We don’t want to have to do this though!)

Things to Note:
Each submission must adhere to Biblical teachings. Whether you are creating your own short story or a Bible study, all must lead the reader to a Biblical principal, lesson, or idea. Although we do accept fantasy and sci-fi short stories, the theme of each story must be overtly Christian with sound doctrine (Think C.S Lewis—Chronicles of Narnia).
We encourage the use of the imagination, for the Lord allowed us all to be creative beings, however, ideas such a magic arts, spicy romance, gory narratives, or inappropriate language of any sort will be immediately denied.
The age of the readers of the Youth Unveiled section range from eight-eighteen. There will be separations between different age groups depending on the contents of your writings, but please keep age group in mind in your writing.
Manuscripts with Illustrations:
Yes, we do accept manuscripts with illustrations! Whether it be digital art, or paintings etc. we would love to publish them alongside your writing. However, we will need high quality scanning of each illustration.
Submission Requirements:
- Manuscript (Word or Pages file)
- Cover letter (max 200 words)
- Short Biography (max 100 words)
- Photo of writer (optional)
- Bible verses must be New King James Version, unless otherwise specified within the manuscript.
Once received, our editorial team will evaluate your manuscript: please allow two-weeks for a response, but more than likely it will be much sooner. If your manuscript it accepted, we will email you your congratulatory message along with a simple contract to sign.
